Idiosyncrasy - 2

Switchboard sequence When you need to flick a switch on or off on the switchboard, follow this procedure. Position your finger at right angles to the face of the wall and press on the switch. Be sure that no part of your hand rests on the wall. Reason Blackening of the portions of the wall below the switchboard is an ugly sight in most homes. Caution 1. Don't go near the switchboard thinking of your favourite TV serial/book or the sultry weather. You might inadvertantly place your palm on the wall. 2. Be careful when guests are around. Make sure you operate the switches, unless you wish to embarass them and yourself by making them go through the above procedure. Remedy (an excellent one in my opinion) Paint a big rectangular strip below the switchboard matching its size in washable paint.
